Stained glass : iris and dragonfly, XXth century

A charming decorative stained-glass panel composed of painted and glazed colored glass, assembled with a network of lead came to form a composition that is both geometric and naturalistic. It depicts a bouquet of irises in shades of violet and purple emerging from the edge of a pond in a wooded landscape, enlivened at the top by a dragonfly with outstretched wings. An elegant border of pale blue opalescent glass frames the scene.
