Mithé Espelt (1923-2020), French ceramicist.
Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Montpellier, where she was later joined by Valentine Schlegel. She then joined the first graduating class of the Fontcarrade Experimental Ceramics School. A buttonhole ceramicist in Lynda Chartier’s workshop, she left Paris to return to Lunel in 1946, where she established her own ceramics studio. After the birth of her children, she embarked on a new artistic project, dedicating herself to the creation of everyday objects (small jewelry boxes, mirrors, etc.).
